Membership

You must be an active member of National H.O.G. in order to be a chapter member. Spouses, significant others, and children cannot become a chapter associate member without first becoming a National H.O.G. associate member. To become a National H.O.G. full or associate member call 1-800-CLUB-HOG, or visit www.hog.com.

Chapter Dues

Chapter dues are $15.00 per year and are due at the first of the year. You must be a member of National H.O.G. and that membership must be current when you register for the local Chapter. Your spouse, significant other, or children are welcome as associate members; however, you must add them as associates to your National membership first.

The Chapter Enrollment & Release Form can be found here. Bring the completed form with your check to the next chapter meeting or send it to the Vallejo H.O.G. Secretary c/o Harley-Davidson/Buell of Vallejo, 1600 Sonoma Blvd., Vallejo, CA 94590.

Chapter Newsletter

Being an active member with a valid email address will give you access to the Members Only section of our website. There you will be able to download our monthly newsletter which is filled with articles and other information. You will also be able to access our Message Board. Please contact a Chapter Officer if you have any questions; the Secretary and/or New Membership Officer will be able to assist you with getting access to the Members Only section, and your Director will be able to assist you with any questions regarding the Message Board.

Chapter Merchandise

Chapter patches — small, large, reflectorized — are available at Harley-Davidson/Buell of Vallejo. Just ask one of the friendly Motorclothes Associates for assistance.

2009 Chapter Mileage Program and Target Events

History

This program was started to encourage participation in chapter events, promote the use of your Harley-Davidson motorcycle, and reward volunteer help.

How it Works

The goal is to be awarded set of sterling Silver Wings like the ones pictured above or a rocker for the year of repeated successes. Those awarded will have attended a minimum of ten (10) target events and have accumulated at least 8,000 miles. There will be more than 30 Target Events throughout the year to choose from and they are shown on both the website calendar and the newsletter calendar with a target symbol like the one above. The mileage is a combination of actual odometer miles and bonus miles earned for volunteering at events, donation of raffle gifts, or writing newsletter articles. Remember every mile you put on you bike counts; Vallejo HOG rides, other club rides, personal rides, even a ride to the grocery store.

How to Participate

• Ensure that you are enrolled.
• Join us on as many Target Events as you can!
• Have fun and ride - and as you do, your miles increase.
• Extra miles are awarded for the following activities:
  • Volunteer at chapter events = 300 miles
  • Donate a raffle gift = 300 miles
  • Write an article for the Newsletter = 300 miles (submit to the Editor no later than the 23rd of the month - you must be logged in to view email address.)

How Do I Sign Up?

• To participate in the 2009 Road Raider program all you have to do is have your odometer reading verified at any chapter meeting or event by the Director, Assistant Director, or Senior Road Captain. Your mileage does not accumulate until the reading is verified. Sign up soon to start racking up the miles and getting credit for attending Target Events.
• If you were awarded wings or a rocker last year, the mileage that was turned in to the Assistant Director at the close of the 2008 season (November 14th) became the 2009 start mileage for all riders and passengers. These people were automatically enrolled for the 2009 season. Two good ways to ensure you are enrolled is to check the My Membership section of the website (you must be logged in to view this feature) or to send an email to the Assistant Director (you must be logged in to view email address).

Please remember the following: It is your responsibility to make sure that your presence at any targeted event, volunteer opportunity, raffle etc. is recorded. In other words, be sure to always print your name on the sign-in sheet. Passengers may participate but must fill out their own start form. Mileage (actual or earned) and targeted events may not be traded or transferred to another person. Let's...

Ladies of Harley

Ladies of Harley (LOH) offers members a special embroidered patch and pin during the first year of membership. Each renewal year, LOH members receive an LOH pin indicating the year of membership.

You must be an active full or associate member of H.O.G.® to be affiliated with Ladies of Harley. Although LOH is free of charge to active H.O.G. members, the Ladies of Harley benefit is not automatic. If you would like to join, please contact the H.O.G. office or visit the My Membership section of http://www.hog.com.
